Chronic Illness Is Common — Coordinated Care Isn't

Most people with a long-term condition end up managing it themselves, because no single provider is responsible for the whole picture.

    What This Covers

    Fibromyalgia & Chronic Illness Support

Your specialists handle their own area. This is the support for everything that sits in between them — the symptoms that don't belong to one department and the questions that keep getting deferred.

    Fibromyalgia

The full pattern — widespread sensitivity, unrefreshing sleep, flares, and the brain fog that comes with it — treated as one condition rather than a list of unrelated complaints.

    Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS)

Post-exertional malaise can bring a delayed worsening of symptoms after activity. Pacing and symptom management get built around what your energy actually allows.

    Fatigue & Brain Fog

Exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix, and the word-finding and focus problems that make work and school harder than they should be.

    Mood Alongside a Long Condition

Depression, anxiety, and grief are common with chronic illness and are treated here rather than filed under "expected."

    Medication Review

A look at everything you take — including medicines that may be adding to fatigue, fog, or poor sleep — and what's worth changing.

    Tests, When They'd Help

If your history or exam suggests something worth checking, tests can be ordered and the results explained to you in plain language.

    About Your Provider

One Provider for the Whole Picture

Christine Forge is dual certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. That combination matters with chronic illness, because the physical and the emotional side show up together — fatigue may be the condition, the medication, poor sleep, or depression, and sorting them out takes someone looking at all of it.

This is support alongside your specialists, not a replacement for them. Christine can help you keep track of what's been tried, what's still open, and what's actually worth pursuing next.

Care is available to Florida residents ages 8 and up, statewide, by secure video.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How can online care help with chronic illness management in Florida?

An unhurried visit about how you're functioning: sleep, energy, focus, pain and other symptoms, mood, what you're taking, and what's been tried. From there Christine helps build a plan for the day-to-day side of your condition and flags anything that needs a specialist's attention.

What is post-exertional malaise in ME/CFS?

Post-exertional malaise (PEM) is the hallmark of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome. Symptoms like exhaustion, pain, brain fog, and poor sleep get worse after physical, mental, or emotional effort — often 12 to 48 hours later — and can last days. Care focuses on pacing and managing symptoms rather than pushing through with fixed exercise increases.

    What conditions does this fit?

Fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, and other long-term conditions where fatigue, sleep, focus, or mood are part of the picture. It also fits people who have a diagnosed condition and feel like nobody is managing the whole thing.

Can I get fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome support online in Florida?

Yes. Both are managed here based on what the current evidence supports, which includes symptom management, sleep and energy pacing, medication review, and treating the mood effects that come with them. Christine is honest about what has strong evidence behind it and what doesn't.

    Will you order tests?

When they'd help. If your history or exam suggests something worth checking, tests can be ordered and the results go over with you. Christine won't order a broad panel just to have numbers — testing should have a reason.

Do you prescribe medication for chronic illness?

Sometimes, depending on what the evaluation shows. Christine reviews what you're already taking, including anything that may be adding to fatigue or brain fog, and discusses options and tradeoffs with you. Prescriptions are not automatic, and this is not a substitute for a specialist's treatment plan.

    Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed to book. If you're already seeing specialists, bringing their names and your recent records helps, but it isn't required to get started.

    Does this replace my specialists?

No. This is the connective layer — the place where the whole picture gets held, questions get answered, and follow-up doesn't fall through the cracks. Your specialists keep doing what they do best.

When should I seek urgent care instead?

New chest pain, fainting, sudden weakness or trouble speaking, severe shortness of breath, or a sudden severe headache need emergency assessment rather than a scheduled visit. Call 911 for a medical emergency.

    How do I start?

Book online. Intake forms and payment are due at least 24 hours before your appointment, and cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice.
