My practice specializes in family medicine and psychiatric care delivered predominantly through telehealth in Florida, Wisconsin & Nevada. I focus on making quality mental health and primary care services accessible, with mobile and in-person appointments available when needed.
Around the age of 5 I knew I wanted to be a nurse and have had the pleasure of working and advancing in the field since my graduation from nursing school in 1989.
My Professional Journey
I earned my RN BSN degree from Bellin College of Nursing in 1989. Throughout my career I have worked in several states and many different areas to expand my knowledge base. Areas worked include ICU, surgery, endocrinology, long and short term care, residential and hospital psychiatry working with both Deaf and hearing clients. I enjoy working with all ages - Children to elderly.
I earned my Family Nurse Practitioner degree at South University in Savannah, GA in 2018. I returned to school at Maryville University in St. Louis, MO for certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner graduating in 2019. I also have a degree in American Sign Language earned at Madonna University in Livonia, MI.
Personal Life & Adventures
For over 20 years, I was married to a U.S. Marine, which gave me the opportunity to live in several states, including Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Michigan, Florida, and Nebraska. Experiencing life in different regions has given me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and the unique practices within each community.
I have two wonderful daughters whom I love spending time with whenever possible — one lives nearby in Sarasota, Florida, and the other a bit farther away in Kona, Hawaii.
In my free time, I enjoy a variety of creative hobbies such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, and making epoxy pens and tumblers. I also love spending time on the beach collecting shells and sand dollars to create handmade wind chimes.
