Dual Approach Care

One Wisconsin Provider for Your Mental Health and Your Physical Health

Most patients are told to see a psychiatric provider for mood and a separate primary care provider for everything else — then left to translate between them. Christine Forge is board certified in both, so Wisconsin patients can choose mental health care, family medicine, or a dual approach that treats both together.

    • Choose mental health, family medicine, or both
    • Labs, thyroid, and hormones reviewed alongside mood
    • Fewer appointments, one coordinated plan
    • Telehealth across all of Wisconsin

    Wisconsin Access to Care

Split Care Is Especially Costly in Wisconsin

In much of the state, finding even one accepting provider is difficult. Finding two who communicate with each other is harder still.

    Why Dual Certification Matters

The Body and the Brain Are Not Separate Patients

When one provider handles both sides, the things that fall through the cracks between specialties finally get caught.

    Thyroid & Lab Work

Hypothyroidism, anemia, low vitamin D, and metabolic issues frequently present as depression, anxiety, or brain fog. They get tested, not guessed at.

    Psychiatric Care

Depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD, and autism treatment with full medication management.

    Family Medicine

Hypertension, migraines, preventive care, acute concerns, and routine chronic condition management for the whole family, ages 8 and up.

    Chronic Illness Gap Care

Autoimmune disease, long COVID, endometriosis, and other chronic conditions — the in-between care your specialists do not cover.

    Medication Interaction Review

Psychiatric and medical prescriptions reviewed as one list, which catches interactions that split care routinely misses.

    Whole-Family Care

Parents and children can see the same provider, which simplifies scheduling and keeps the family's health picture in one place.

    About Your Provider

Christine Forge, MSN, AAPRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Christine holds dual board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. That means she can order and interpret labs, manage medical conditions, and prescribe psychiatric medication within a single plan of care.

You decide the scope. Some patients come only for mental health, some only for family medicine, and many choose the dual approach because their symptoms sit in both worlds.

Everything is delivered by secure video to patients located in Wisconsin, with prescriptions and lab orders routed to your local pharmacy and lab.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can one provider handle both my mental health and primary care in Wisconsin?

Yes. Christine Forge is dual board certified in family practice and psychiatric mental health, so a single Wisconsin telehealth visit can address both medical and psychiatric concerns.

Do I have to choose the dual approach?

No. You can be seen for mental health only, family medicine only, or both. The scope is your choice and can change over time.

Can you order lab work through telehealth?

Yes. Lab orders are sent to a lab near you in Wisconsin, and results are reviewed with you at follow-up.

    Does this replace my specialist?

No. Dual care complements specialists such as rheumatology, endocrinology, or cardiology by managing the day-to-day and in-between care those visits do not cover.

Is this a good fit for chronic illness?

It is one of the most common reasons patients choose this practice. Chronic illness affects mood and mood affects chronic illness, and treating them with one provider avoids the usual back-and-forth.
